Actress Kwon Kyung Ha recently opened up about her unexpected connection to the BIGBANG member, revealing that she once served as his middle school homeroom teacher.
During an appearance on the YouTube channel Lazy Rabbit, Kwon Kyung Ha reflected on her years working as a teacher and recalled meeting a young Kwon Jiyong—or G-Dragon—at a traditional arts middle school. She explained that she taught him from his first through third year of middle school and served as his homeroom teacher throughout that period.
According to Kwon Kyung Ha, G-Dragon’s star quality was already impossible to miss. She also remembered working with him on a school production titled The Wedding Day, adding that he was an exceptionally strong actor even at that age.

As G-Dragon’s entertainment career began demanding more of his time, he eventually transferred schools during his first year of high school. Kwon Kyung Ha admitted that watching him appear on television later gave her a special sense of pride. “Whenever I saw him on TV, I felt proud. I also had this personal memory of having known him when he was very young,” she said. Looking back, she said he had always had a distinctive presence that set him apart from the other students.
G-Dragon apparently also made sure his abilities were visible outside the classroom. The former teacher recalled that whenever the school held an event, he would regularly take the stage to perform breakdancing with another student. According to her memory, that student may have been fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang.
The two of them performed songs and dances together. They participated very diligently in those performances for all three years.
