Recently, BLACKPINK Jisoo‘s brother, Kim Jung Hun, was alleged to be involved in a sexual assault case.

Since then, there have been numerous developments in the case, including questioning of Jisoo’s role, if any.

The first mention of possible illegal acts came in May 2025, when a post on Blind, a platform for employees to speak anonymously about their workplaces, which must be verified using a work email, claimed that a woman was secretly filmed during a sexual encounter with Jisoo’s brother, but it was deleted quickly.

The poster claimed that he filmed them having sex, and that she was not the only victim.

Korean Media Reports Accusations Of BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Brother Secretly Filming During Sex

This resurfaced after April 16, when an arrest was made following a report of indecent assault from a female streamer.

The man, initially identified as A, was accused of purchasing a “date ticket” with the female streamer, having a meal and drinks with her the previous day, then taking her to his home and engaging in physical contact without consent.

    The man being arrested.

The streamer also claimed that he tried to sexually assault her in addition to forced physical contact and blackmail. After media released that his last name was Kim along with other accusations, evidence strongly pointed to Kim Jung Hun.

    Media thumbnail that fueled speculations.

An account claiming to be his wife uploaded handwritten statements online, accusing him of abuse and providing photographic evidence. The person also claimed that Kim also monitored her online activities, restricted her socially, sexually assaulted her and more.

In the midst of this, Jisoo’s involvement was questioned, specifically the part her brother plays in her management.

However, both alleged victims spoke out, denying this. The victim reportedly said that only Kim Jung Hun did wrong so none of that should be directed at his family.

Kim’s alleged wife also stated that it was possible Jisoo had no clue what was going on, and that she didn’t know that the two were related when they got married.

Kim Jung Hun’s alleged wife’s proof of abuse.

Additional allegations made by the alleged wife claimed that Kim Jung Hun had abused his first wife and that the marriage ended in divorce.

On April 17, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office dismissed the arrest warrant requested by the police for the man rumored to be Kim Jung Hun, with the reason reported to be insufficient substantiation of the charges.
