BLACKPINK member Jennie is facing some unexpected criticism for supposedly trying to suppress a Palestinian account on X (formerly Twitter).

The allegations surfaced after Jennie’s label, ODD ATELIER, put out a statement announcing legal action against accounts spreading false information and slander against the idol.
OddAtelier issues an official notice confirming legal action against the continued spread of misinformation, defamatory content, malicious slander, and groundless speculation regarding JENNIE.

Soon after this announcement, an X account by the username “@jvnior” was suspended. Notably, the account was apparently owned by a Palestinian person and had a huge following. Shortly before suspension, this account had made posts claiming that Jennie endorsed Israel and also allegedly posted some photoshopped pictures to support these allegations.

As soon as the account got suspended, many rushed to the conclusion that Jennie’s team was behind the decision. The idol ended up receiving scathing backlash over this claim.

Imagine getting exposed for supporting Israel and instead of accountability, Palestinian ‘one tweet’ start getting suspended. The PR machine protecting idols while silencing the very people affected is beyond shameful. pic.twitter.com/DxTjCgo9PB

However, fans quickly fact-checked these claims, pointing out that the account owner himself had published the suspension notification, which showed it had nothing to do with ODD ATELIER. Many also called out “@jvnior” for using the genocide of Palestine as content and pushing out AI-generated images to farm engagement.
Jvnior has published the email of suspension notice proving that it has nothing to do with OA, he also admitted of sharing fake news and promised to verify everything before posting.
do you see now why every time you try to lie and throw a fake narrative at Jennie it’ll never… pic.twitter.com/1JvakmrZjw
