BLACKPINK’s Rosé is under heavy criticism after a short concert video sparked accusations of racism on X (formerly Twitter).

    | @roses_are_rosie/Instagram

The clip, taken during the girl group’s much-talked-about DEADLINE world tour, has spread quickly online and passed 2.5 million views.

In the video, Rosé is seen standing alongside backup dancers and Lisa as they greet the crowd with a final bow-out. As hands are being linked on stage, some have claimed Rosé appears to avoid holding hands with one Black dancer. This brief moment has been isolated, slowed down, and reposted across social media, with many netizens accusing her of intentional avoidance.

As the clip gained traction, criticism escalated fast. Some netizens accused Rosé of long-standing racist behavior, while others referenced past controversies to support their claims.

she’s been racist since LONG time ago but since she’s not relevant enough she won’t be canceled. https://t.co/kvullq8I9b

and she still has the courage to say the n-word a million times 💀

However, the situation has also triggered strong pushback from fans. Many have defended Rosé, claiming the microphone she’s holding in that hand prevents her from properly holding the dancer’s hand. Some have also brought up cultural context, explaining that casual hand-holding between men and women is not always normalized in South Korea unless clearly part of choreography.

she has a fucjing microphone in her hand 🧐

What the actual fuck her mic was gonna fall 😭

    — rosespain ⏳ (@rrosespain) January 30, 2026

Hey she is just not comfortable with holding a man’s hand
Why are you bringing racism into this?

    — Priyanshu Shukla (@sportzright) January 30, 2026

In South Korea, it’s not culturally appropriate for a man and a woman to hold hands casually unless they’re a couple… you need educated about another country’s culture

    — Fernanda Alves (@feersalves) January 31, 2026

As with many viral controversies, the debate continues to grow online, driven largely by short clips removed from their full context.
