    “Isn’t this a bit ridiculous…”

BLACKPINK have found themselves at the center of controversy following their latest music show win.

    | YG Entertainment

On March 15, the nominees for first place were BLACKPINK’s “GO,” IVE’s “BANG BANG,” and Hearts2Hearts’ “RUDE!”

BLACKPINK ultimately took the trophy with 5,935 points, securing first place.

However, shortly after the results aired, the scoring began drawing criticism. One viral post on Pann has accused the broadcast channel SBS of “sacrificing” IVE to gift the win to BLACKPINK.

Last week, IVE appeared on SBS Inkigayo and performed “Bang Bang.” On that day, Hearts2Hearts also appeared and performed “Rude.” However, BLACKPINK did not appear on the show.

But this week, the Inkigayo scores look really strange. Why did Hearts2Hearts get 700 broadcast points while IVE got 0 points? And on top of that, BLACKPINK who didn’t even appear were given 100 points.

The viral post even accused YG Entertainment and SBS of having a “close relationship” that makes wins like these possible.

There have long been rumors that SBS and YG Entertainment have a close relationship, but isn’t this a bit ridiculous again this time? How can IVE have 0 broadcast points while BLACKPINK gets over 100?

I wish the broadcasting station would explain this. How are we supposed to accept scores like this when there’s no clear standard and the scoring seems completely arbitrary?

The discrepancy quickly sparked debate in the comments, with some netizens accusing the show’s scoring system of being unfair or poorly explained.
