On March 25, Netflix announced the total number of global views for BTS’s comeback live, revealing that it reached 18.4 million.

This comeback live was Netflix’s first live event broadcast from Korea, achieving huge success, reaching the weekly top 10 in 80 countries while ranking number 1 in 24 countries.

However, previously, according to The Times, “an estimated 300 million people watched on Netflix.” This number was reported by other media outlets as well, causing confusion.

However, this drew criticism from netizens, who claimed that the false number reports were for media play.

    • “Thought they said 300 million.”
    • “Why are the numbers different everywhere?”
    • “They said 300 million watched LOL. And I heard it’s not 18.4 million, but 13 million.”
    • “So it’s not 300 million?”
    • “It’s not 300 million…so this was just media play.”
    • “They said it was 13 million previously. What is real?”
    • “The 13 million is for the non-English countries.”
