The moment was supposedly caught on camera.

Just now
BTS just wrapped up their first concert of the ARIRANG World Tour on April 9, at the Goyang Stadium near Seoul, sparking quite the buzz.

While fans couldn’t be happier to have the septet back on stage after such a long wait, their first concert wasn’t completely devoid of hiccups. From the setlist to the lack of choreography, the internet saw some serious complaints from concert-goers.
The Biggest “Problem” With BTS’s “ARIRANG” Concert Triggers Heated Debate
Another criticism that the group faced was related to live singing. Many netizens have accused BTS of using live AR instead of fully singing live for the concert. A clip that has now gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), specifically caught Jin in an awkward moment where he had his mic turned toward the audience while his vocals were still playing in the background. Even though he was able to quickly turn the mic toward himself, the part he supposedly sang into the mic sounded just the same, raising suspicions that he was not singing live at all.

The clip, which has now garnered nearly 2 million views, has drawn biting criticism for the BTS member and BTS in extension.
Hybe are experts in LiveAR that’s why their groups manage to trick everyone into thinking they’re singing live when they almost never do
Logically, if someone can’t sing standing still in encore how will they hit all the notes live while dancing💀 https://t.co/tJfLJJq390

I would not mind the backtrack if they just played it and they danced but why are they acting like they are singing live? https://t.co/CoXBLmdiid

The pre-recorded vocals, to make it seem like its live 💀🤣 bad for him, he fcked up lip syncing https://t.co/fedep4I87d

I know Jin wants the group to disband, he’s not even trying to hide the lip-syncing. I’ve never seen such a lazy and dozen kpop idol like him before 😭 pic.twitter.com/Z3AhzVRRsX

However, many countered the criticism by pointing out that the moment was a technical glitch where the Weverse livestream started lagging and hence the audio and video sync went completely off.
That’s obviously a technical problem

you can clearly see it was technical issues cuz the voice isn’t matching the movements
Weverse was lagging a bit and caused this
How stupid you can be to not see this ?? https://t.co/g87WmAaNSm

you can clearly see it was technical issues cuz the voice isn’t matching the movements or you just edited it 💀

Others also argued that, whether a technical issue or not, one small clip couldn’t be a valid basis to dismiss Jin’s vocal skills, given how he has showcased his potential multiple times with raw, unfiltered vocals.
The way you’re so used to lip syncing that you can’t even recognize live singing anyway lazypink could never sing raw without a backtrack AND play the piano at the same time https://t.co/RKmVl0TmBq pic.twitter.com/6VSvzQsTQ9

they had to edit a video to see if they could attack bts and seokjin that way. If they need to waste this time, it’s a sign that they’re doing wellpic.twitter.com/gbBc70Pj5c https://t.co/qOHitDupqh
