Comedian Jo Se Ho (or Cho Sae Ho) has made a rare public appearance amid his hiatus from major broadcasts.

On May 16, 2026 (KST), Jo Se Ho appeared as the host of Choi Jun Hee’s wedding. Choi Jun Hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin Sil, married a non-celebrity groom who is 11 years older than her.

Videos from the wedding showed Jo Se Ho confidently leading the ceremony, including a moment where he asked guests to warmly welcome the groom. However, after photos and videos from the wedding spread online, attention quickly shifted to Jo Se Ho’s appearance.
Netizens pointed out that the comedian appeared to have gained weight again after previously becoming known for his successful diet and long-term weight maintenance. Some described it as a “yo-yo” update, referring to weight regain after dieting. Online reactions included comments like “He’s returning to how he used to look,” “Did he drink a lot?” and “He really threw away the smooth life he had with 2 Days & 1 Night and You Quiz. Adults always said to choose your friends wisely, and not a single word of that was wrong.”
Jo Se Ho previously came under scrutiny late last year over his alleged friendship with “Choi,” the head of an organized crime group, as well as suspicions that he received expensive gifts. His side acknowledged that he was acquainted with the person but denied the allegations regarding expensive gifts.
