Chae Jong-hyeop and Lee Sung-kyung reunite In Your Radiant Season

Snow has begun to fall for MBC’s upcoming romance mystery In Your Radiant Season, cascading upon a pair of artists and a well-buried secret. When two seemingly opposite personalities find themselves linked together by a thread of the past.
The summer of seven years ago – didn’t something happen back then? Opening upon this question, the drama’s first teaser flashes back to the past. “Chan,” says a woman’s voice. “I love you.” Then Chae Jong-hyeop (Serendipity’s Embrace) opens the door to a devastating explosion that sends him flying backwards through broken glass.
In the present, he’s the animator Sunwoo Chan, as affable and bright as a summer’s day. Yet that incident of seven years ago – which he calls his “deepest winter” – remains etched deep in his mind, surfacing in disjointed fragments and bringing tears to his eyes.
Then he meets Lee Sung-kyung (The Nice Guy) as the high-end fashion designer Song Ha-ran, who’s as cold as winter. Ever since losing someone precious to her in an accident 7 years ago, Ha-ran’s heart has iced over. She can’t bear to go through that grief again, and it seems she may have locked away those painful memories, too. “Nice to meet you,” she greets Chan, as if meeting him for the first time.
Chan, however, remembers her – after all, her heartfelt confession still lingers in his mind to this day. When danger nips at Ha-ran’s heels, Chan is right there to warn her, and to wait anxiously in the emergency ward. As for Ha-ran, she can’t help but wonder how Chan knows her. “Sunwoo Chan,” she wonders. “Just who are you?” Together, Chan and Ha-ran will paint a radiant (chan-ran) season across their past, present, and perhaps even their future.
Helmed by PDs Jung Sang-hee (Wonderful World) and Kim Young-jae (The Pork Cutlets), with scripts by Jo Sung-hee (Thirty but Seventeen), In Your Radiant Season is slated for a February 20 premiere after The Judge Returns wraps up its run.
