Chae Jong-hyeop entrances Lee Sung-kyung In Your Radiant Season

Promotions continue for MBC’s upcoming romance mystery In Your Radiant Season with the newest teaser highlighting the tension between its leads Lee Sung-kyung (The Nice Guy) and Chae Jong-hyeop (Serendipity’s Embrace). With his sunny smile catching her eyes at every turn, they dance the ever-familiar tango of “will they, won’t they.”
Opening with a scene of Song Ha-ran (Lee Sung-kyung) staring at Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong-hyeop), she wonders where he would go if he could timeslip. He tells her nowhere since he does not have a past he wants to revisit, and Ha-ran thinks to herself that he is a really weird person.
Chan seems to be always smiling no matter the crowd, time, or place, and Ha-ran calls him a capybara. His smile must also be infectious since Ha-ran cannot help but grin as she notices him more and more to the point where her grandma Lee Mi-sook (Tempest) even notices the change.
Younger sister Han Ji-hyun (Face Me) informs their grandma that the two are having a “some” or a “situationship” where they are not yet dating but everyone around them knows that they clearly like each other. It appears, though, that Ha-ran is not the only one in the family finding love this season since her grandma shares a tender moment with retired barista Kang Seok-woo (Goodbye Earth).
Grandma tells Ha-ran that the world is large yet small and small yet large, while Chan adds that they should live every day with a little bit more excitement than the last, even when he is not around. The teaser then ends with Grandma saying that she does not need her anymore. Why is everyone leaving? Why so ominous?
Directed by PD Jung Sang-hee (Please Send a Fan Letter, Wonderful World) and PD Kim Young-jae (The Pork Cutlets) with scripts written by Jo Sung-hee (Thirty But Seventeen), In Your Radiant Season is slated for twelve episodes and premieres next week on February 20 in the Friday-Saturday slot.
