CORTIS are facing criticism over a new track.

On February 13, 2026, the Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game took place, where CORTIS became the first K-Pop artists to headline any event during the NBA All-Star Weekend.

The group also took the opportunity to film content for social media, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the experience.

Additionally, the group gave a preview of an upcoming track titled “YCC (Young Creator Crew).” The track is hip-hop, like many of their previous releases, and it already appeared to have choreography.

The track has gone viral online, with a repost hitting over 12 million views. However, many of the responses were negative, criticizing the song for various reasons, including the alleged appropriation of Black people.

For a country so racist to dark skin, they do love pretending to be black 😂 https://t.co/OiBL7p8DNZ

No artistry, no creativity, no identity, no originality, no meaning. There’s literally no difference from this to AI slop. The future of kpop looks bleak. https://t.co/U3bnGJ2v9w

On the other hand, many of the group’s fans praised the track on the TikTok posting of the song, appreciating the adherence to their sound.

Music is subjective and it seems CORTIS is no exception to this.
