Disney+ releases a sneak peek into its 2026 K-drama lineup

Disney+ has announced its K-drama offerings for this upcoming year, highlighting a plethora of different shows and genres. From mystery-thrillers to romantic-fantasies, the streaming site hosts both original content as well as shows from Korean broadcasters, hopefully giving its global audience more access.
Title: Bloody Flower
Release date: February 2, 2026
Need to know: Ryeoun (Weak Hero Class 2) plays a serial killer/medical genius who claims to have the knowledge to cure the incurable. When caught by Prosecutor Geum Sae-rok (Iron Family), he implores the help of Attorney Sung Dong-il (Pro Bono) who may be swayed to defend him in order to save his dying daughter. Premiering in less than two weeks, the eight-episode thriller drops two episodes every Wednesday.

Need to know: This MBC drama stars Lee Sung-kyung (The Nice Guy) and Chae Jong-hyeop (Serendipity’s Embrace) in an opposites-attract romance. While she’s the cold winter and he’s the warm summer, their fates cross paths as they enter a new season together, melting the ice and ushering in spring.

Need to know: With another romance from MBC, this alternative universe sets up chaebol heiress IU (When Life Gives You Tangerines) with prince Byun Woo-seok (Lovely Runner) in a marriage of convenience. However, in typical k-drama fashion, emotions creep into their arrangement as they work through their own baggage and ambitions.

Need to know: Greed and betrayal dominate this crime-thriller starring Park Bo-young (Our Unwritten Seoul) as she stumbles upon literal gold. Of course, she isn’t the only one with their eyes set on the prize since Kim Sung-chul (Hellbound 2), Lee Hyun-wook (Shark – The Storm), Kim Hee-won (Han River Police), and Lee Kwang-soo (The Manipulated) all want to stake their claim as well.

Need to know: The shop is back with an upgrade as Lee Dong-wook (The Nice Guy) returns with niece Kim Hye-joon (A Shop for Killers). While fans of the first season will recognize Jo Han-seon (A Shop for Killers) as Babylon mercenary Bale, the story expands globally and introduces plenty of new faces as well.

Need to know: This KBS romance-thriller follows Namgoong Min (Our Movie) and Lee Seol (Our Movie) right before their divorce when she suddenly gets kidnapped. While their marriage might have reached its end, his duties as her husband have not, and he risks his life to find her.

Need to know: After finishing its first season earlier this month, the story continues with Hyun Bin (Made in Korea) and Jung Woo-sung (Made in Korea) in 1979 Seoul. Along with plenty of its original cast, the story will also introduce new players as they join the ongoing power struggle.

Need to know: The hit webnovel and webtoon gets a drama adaptation starring Shin Mina (Karma) as the titular empress, Joo Ji-hoon (The Trauma Code – Heroes on Call) as her cheating husband, Lee Jong-seok (Law and the City) as her devoted lover, and Lee Se-young (Motel California) as the conniving vixen. Set in a European-inspired backdrop, the drama boasts dazzling production designs and costumes to match the source material’s aesthetics.
