On July 22, KST, Hani made a public appearance at the press conference of KBS2‘s upcoming K-Drama, Love on the Menu. At the event, she candidly addressed all the controversy and concerns surrounding her private life.
Hani spoke to the press, expressing her regret over the entire scandal. She apologized for “causing concern,” but also expressed her discomfort at divulging details about her personal life at an event that was meant to focus on the drama.

This was the first time Hani publicly addressed the scandal involving Yang Jae Woong, her fiancé, who faced a massive controversy in 2024 over a patient’s death at his clinic. The scandal has reportedly made his clinic go out of business. It also affected his personal life as his wedding to Hani was postponed indefinitely.
