Kim Min-ha, Noh Sang-hyun
- Netflix has announced a new movie called Messily Ever After (working title), reuniting Pachinko co-stars Kim Min-ha (Typhoon Family) and Noh Sang-hyun (Genie Make a Wish). And this time, they’ll be playing a couple who first locked eyes in art school and have now been together for a wild and sweet 10 years (and counting). Production for the rom-com film has rookie filmmaker Seo Jung-min at the helm. [News1]
- Speaking of ~love~, two new romance dramas are also in the works. Both are adapted from popular webnovels written by Kim Eon-hee and the two tales are connected by being set in the same story universe. Currently in the early stages, Lee Jong-seok (Law and the City) has been cast to play the titular chaebol hero in Yi-sub’s Romance (roughly translated). His drama cousin Lee Jun-hyuk (The Art of Sarah), on the other hand, will be headlining A Casual Lie (roughly translated). [Sports Donga]
- Go Soo (Parole Examiner Lee) is reviewing an offer for the office series Nine to Six, potentially joining Park Min-young (Confidence Queen) and Yook Sung-jae (The Haunted Palace) in the lineup. Based on the Chinese drama The Rational Life, the Korean remake is expected to broadcast on SBS and has PD Lee Hyung-min (Miss Night and Day) attached to direct. [My Daily, Star News]
- New stills have dropped on JTBC for the upcoming Still Shining, putting the spotlight on our subway train engineer, Got7’s Jinyoung (Our Unwritten Seoul). Following the dark tunnel out to the warmth of light on the other side, he and Kim Min-joo (Undercover High School) will be rekindling their romance when the drama premieres on March 6 next week. Directed by PD Kim Yoon-jin (Tell Me That You Love Me, Our Beloved Summer), scripts were penned by Lee Sook-yeon(A Piece of Your Mind). [JTBC]
- On KBS, we have a tale of new beginnings with Cabbage Your Life, turning Park Sung-woong (Nine Puzzles) from city chic to bumpkin farmer in the new character stills. Together with wife Lee Soo-kyung (Dog Knows Everything) as well as son Lee Jin-woo (Namib) – plus two more younger sons – the uplifting family comedy will be coming to our screens on March 26 and will be airing weekly in a new Thursday slot.
