    The inconveniences are stacking up.

As BTS prepares for their large-scale comeback performance at Gwanghwamun, the ripple effects are now extending far beyond the concert venue, impacting everyday life across central Seoul.

According to reports, all courier deliveries across Jongno District will be suspended from March 20 to March 21 due to security control measures and road restrictions surrounding the event. The affected area includes major neighborhoods across Jongno, a key business and residential hub in Seoul.

The stage being built at the venue.

In South Korea, where same-day and even dawn delivery services are the norm, this level of disruption is highly unusual. The temporary suspension is expected to affect not only businesses but also residents and businesses who rely heavily on fast and consistent delivery services for daily necessities. With logistics paused for two full days, frustration has quickly spread online.

Many netizens pointed out that Korea’s globally recognized delivery system is one of its core conveniences, and halting it entirely feels excessive for a single event.

    • This is seriously ridiculous.
    • LOL.
    • Is this really happening just for a comeback show, not even a meaningful national performance event? Feels like the country is so idiotic, or they’re all on the same side.
    • Wow, they’re really so ridiculous acting up.
    • It’s basically on the level of a shutdown LOL.
    • Interrupting businesses.

The broader impact of the concert, from transportation and office closures to now delivery shutdowns, are stacking up, with ordinary citizens bearing the inconvenience. Still, as disruptions continue to pile up, the situation is fueling a larger debate on how much inconvenience should the public bear for a single K-Pop event.
