And she’s making history while at it!

On the afternoon of March 24, 2026 (KST), the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League preseason game between the Kiwoom Heroes and LG Twins was held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. As it was the final preseason game, LG’s newly recruited cheerleaders also took to the cheering stage, greeting fans for the first time.
Among them, one rookie cheerleader in particular caught attention: Jang Rona.
Born in 2002, Jang Rona first gained recognition after appearing on Mnet’s Girls Planet 999. She later debuted in 2022 as a sub-vocalist in the girl group ILY:1, further making her name known to the public.
Now debuting as the LG Twins’ first-ever Taiwanese cheerleader, Jang Rona sent her greetings to both K-Pop and baseball fans:
Nice to meet you! I’ll do my very best to cheer for the invincible LG throughout this year! I love you, LG Twins!!
— Jang Rona
With several former idols already active as cheerleaders in professional baseball, Jang Rona is now drawing attention as yet another potential “star cheerleader” in the making.
Meanwhile, ILY:1 has not officially disbanded—according to the agency’s June 24, 2025, statement. However, the group has remained largely inactive, with their last promotions taking place some time ago, leaving fans curious about the members’ individual paths moving forward.
