Fans were thoroughly shocked when WM Entertainment announced that girl group USPEER‘s contract had come to an end, just 6 months after their debut. The girls debuted in June 2025, only to have the contract voided by December 31, 2025.
Official statement.
“Hello,
This is WM Entertainment.
First, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all fans who have shown love and support for USPEER.
We would like to inform you that as of December 31, the exclusive contract between USPEER and our company has come to an end.
USPEER is a team that was prepared over a long period of time at WM with great effort and affection. Throughout discussions, we prioritized USPEER’s long-term growth and future potential above the company’s own interests.
As a result, after thorough discussions with CEO Lee Won Min, who was responsible for USPEER’s production, we have amicably concluded agreements regarding the termination of the exclusive contract as well as trademark rights.
Even after the end of our contract, both parties will continue to maintain a close cooperative relationship, and we plan to provide full support so that the members can continue their activities smoothly. We will also continue to support and cheer on USPEER as they grow and take their next leap forward as artists.
Additionally, we kindly ask fans to continue giving their warm support and interest as USPEER embarks on a new beginning.
Thank you.”
The future of the group is now up in the air. CEO Lee Won Min was fired from WM Entertainment after its merger with RBW Entertainment. Due to a fallout between the higher ups of both companies, Lee no longer works with the company. Recently, Lee Chaeyeon also left, quickly finding new management. As USPEER is still a rookie group, it is unsure if they will be snapped up or if they will simply disband.
