On Sunday, February 1, the 68th Grammy Awards took place, honoring the last year in music from some of the biggest artists in the world. This year, K-Pop had its place at the table, with KPop Demon Hunters and BLACKPINK‘s Rosé earning multiple nominations in different categories.

The first award Rosé and KPop Demon Hunter’s HUNTR/X (Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Ami Rei) were up for was “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance,” which was won by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for “Defying Gravity.”

Along with this award came K-Pop’s first Grammy win: “Golden” won “Best Song Written For Visual Media,” with Ejae amongst those accepting the award. This win also made producer Teddy Park a Grammy winner.

The next award up for grabs was “Song Of The Year,” and Rosé went up against many popular tracks, including Doechi‘s “Anxiety,” “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters, “DTMF” by Bad Bunny, and “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga but the award ultimately went to Billie Eilish‘s “Wildflower.”

Finally, “Record Of The Year” was one of the last awards given out of the night, and shared many of the same nominees as the previous category.  Rosé and Bruno Mars‘ “APT,” SZA and Kendrick Lamar‘s “Luther,” and Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Manchild”, and “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga were all nominated with “Luther” winning.

Even without winning her nominations, Rosé still made history as a nominee and performer.
