A Korean actress has revealed the money-making opportunities she got from appearing in the hit drama Hospital Playlist, shocking viewers with the staggering amount.
On September 13th, actress Ahn Eun Jin appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung.
Ahn Eun Jin, known for her role as Chu Min Ha in tvN‘s Hospital Playlist, recalled, “I was really loved a lot, and it was truly wonderful.”
In response, Jung Jae Hyung asked, “Didn’t you film about 20 commercials?” Ahn Eun Jin laughed and replied, “45. I actually did a bit more.”
Jung Jae Hyung then asked, “Since Hospital Playlist, haven’t people treated you more comfortably and recognized you more? How did that feel?” Ahn Eun Jin answered, “What was really nice was that I could go to auditions and mess up my acting a bit. Before, I felt like everything depended on how I performed that day, but after Hospital Playlist, I could clearly show what I’m capable of through clips from the show, so I felt more at ease going to auditions.”
She added, “Directors started recognizing that I ‘can actually act,’ so working on projects became much easier. The character I played was so charming, confident, healthy, and courageous—characters like that don’t come along often. Because people saw that side of me in that role and loved it, that was a big joy. It seems like I’m still going with that image now. I guess I’m making a living from it?”
Later, when Ahn Eun Jin took on her first lead role in The One and Only, she admitted, “I didn’t know what to do, so I asked around a lot. I asked Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, and Kim Go Eun, who I worked with on previous projects, ‘How should I handle being the lead?’ Mi Ran unnie gave me advice that really stuck—’Just do what you’ve always done.’ Ye Eun said I should boost my stamina.”
She continued, “I ask Go Eun more in-depth questions, like ‘How should I handle conflicts with someone?’ She’s like a troubleshooter who always has an immediate answer.”
Jung Jae Hyung marveled, “So that’s why your reputation on set is so good,” to which Ahn Eun Jin joked, “If you do what Go Eun tells you, your reputation can’t help but be good.”
