BTS‘s agency has clarified their position regarding the group’s performance at Gwanghwamun Square.
On the 28th, HYBE addressed rumors about the performance duration, stating, “Seoul City has never restricted the performance time at Gwanghwamun Square to one hour. The performance duration is a decision made by HYBE and BIGHIT Music.”
This statement was in response to recent online community rumors claiming that Seoul City’s administrative regulations shortened BTS’s performance time at Gwanghwamun Square.
HYBE explained that the one-hour performance time was set after comprehensively considering factors such as the special nature of the outdoor public space, audience safety, on-site control, public transportation convenience, and noise during late-night hours.
BTS will release their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, on March 20 at 1pm and make their comeback as a full group.
On March 21, starting at 8pm, they will hold BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG for about one hour around Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The performance will be broadcast live online via Netflix.
