Past comments from Hyeri to LE SSERAFIM‘s Chaewon about her weight have sparked major fury among netizens.

Amid an ongoing discourse regarding weight in K-Pop, a past clip from a variety show has sparked criticism.
In the clip, Hyeri asks Yena about how much she weighs, and when she reveals it, the actress adds, “I can lift you, but not Chaewon, even though the difference is only 3 kg.” The discussion then continues on weight, and others add that they couldn’t lift the LE SSERAFIM idol. As they keep saying it, Chaewon seemingly hits back at the fact she kept getting mentioned.

The clip has been going viral with netizens hitting back at Hyeri’s comments about Chaewon’s weight, but also the fact that the idol looked uncomfortable, but they continued to speak about it.

Yet, some fans defended Hyeri, explaining that the clip was just short and couldn’t be judged without the full context, with others adding that the actress and Chaewon are close, so it can’t have been an issue for the idol.
