Since the former BIGBANG member was released from prison, his activities have been monitored and scrutinized by netizens. Seungri was previously sentenced to three years, which was later reduced to one year and six months, in prison after being convicted on nine charges tied to the infamous “Burning Sun” scandal, including arranging prostitution, illegal gambling, embezzlement, and violations of foreign exchange law.
Most recently, Seungri was discussed for allegedly seeking to recreate the Burning Sun club.

Photos of Seungri were recently shared online, supposedly from sometime in January 2026. The images show Seungri posing with individuals for a photo, with their faces censored.
Compared to images of Seungri from last year, he does appear to have visually changed, along with gaining a noticeable amount of weight.
