On the January 14 broadcast of the MBC variety show, Wonhee talked about the acknowledgement she recently received from IU for her performance of “Good Day” at the MBC Gayo Daejejeon.
IU Responds To ILLIT Wonhee’s Cover Of “Good Day”
Wonhee shared some behind-the-scenes details of that performance, revealing that she only managed to hit the triple note during the practice the day before the event. “I even cried during practice,” she confessed. So, when she came to know that IU had praised her performance, she was deeply touched by the gesture.
The HYBE idol responded to being given the nickname of “Nation’s Little Sister,” a title long held by IU. She vehemently denied it, saying, “I don’t think of myself as the Nation’s Little Sister at all. I’m just an aspiring artist.” She candidly mentioned that she wanted to clear up her stance so bad that she actually made a specific request to the production crew to allow her to talk about it.
Wonhee humorously continued, “I could be the Nation’s Ant, the Nation’s Weed, or the Nation’s Sprout. The Nation’s Little Sister title was graciously given to me by Radio Star, a prestigious program. I personally have no opinion on it.” She then added that IU would always be the real “Nation’s Little Sister” for her, drawing a warm response from the hosts.
Meanwhile, Wonhee’s performance of “Good Day” had sparked some heated reactions online. Read more:
