Shinhan Bank is facing criticism online after netizens took issue with the way its spokesmodel, ITZY‘s Yuna, was portrayed in a recent advertisement.
The controversy erupted after an ad featuring Yuna promoting Shinhan Bank’s Nara Sarang Card began circulating online.
While the card is known as a product primarily issued to Korean men for military-related benefits, some netizens questioned why a female idol was used as the model — and more specifically, why she was posed in what they described as a “provocative” stance.
One viral comment harshly criticized the advertisement, claiming that the pose was inappropriate given the card’s target demographic and accusing the bank of poor judgment.

Only Korean men can use the Nara Sarang card, so why are they making a woman hold it and stand like that? Shinhan Bank is f*cking lagging behind. Plus, they also had a hiring controversy where they only chose men and not women, so why aren’t they making a man hold the card and pose like that?
