Singer and actress IU revealed a behind-the-scene story of her attending fellow artists’ concerts.
On the 14th, IU appeared on the web variety show Salon Drip alongside actors Byun Woo Seok, Noh Sang Hyun, and Gong Seung Yeon, who all starred in the drama Perfect Crown, and they shared stories.
When IU’s visit to a TWICE concert was mentioned, she said, “I really like TWICE, so I went. Jeongyeon sent me a DM, but I didn’t see it at first. Seung Yeon told me about it on set, so I sent a thank-you message late.”
Gong Seung Yeon then added, “My younger sister wanted to invite her to the concert and sent a DM, but I said, ‘Do you think she checks her DMs? She probably gets a lot of messages.’”
Jang Do Yeon asked, “Even when she receives invitation passes, I heard IU always buys the tickets herself to watch the performance,” to which IU explained, “As someone who also performs, watching shows is a way to learn. I usually go secretly, watch until the end, and truly enjoy it.”
She continued, “I’ve seen TWICE, and also EXO’s D.O.’s performance. I try to watch as many shows as possible. It helps me relieve stress and heal.”
Hearing this, Gong Seung Yeon added, “My sister wanted to give her invitation tickets, but I heard she bought the tickets herself,” and IU responded, “Because I really like TWICE,” warming the atmosphere.
