    News bites: January 20, 2026

    by tccolb

    Clockwise: Gu Kyo-hwan, Go Yoon-jung, Park Hae-jin, Kang Mal-geum, Oh Jung-se

    1. JTBC has announced that Everyone Struggles With Their Self-Worth (roughly translated) is on the horizon for 2026, lining up Gu Kyo-hwan (Parasyte – The Grey) and Go Yoon-jung (Can This Love Be Translated), in addition to Oh Jung-se (Tempest), Kang Mal-geum (Surely Tomorrow), and Park Hae-jin (Tempest). Presenting us with a thoughtful story about finding inner peace and self-acceptance, production has PD Cha Young-hoon (Welcome to Samdal-ri, When the Camellia Blooms) at the helm with scripts by Park Hae-young (My Liberation Notes, My Ajusshi). [JTBC]

    1. In the meantime, MBC continues promos for In Your Radiant Season, showcasing our weathered leads Lee Sung-kyung (The Nice Guy) and Chae Jong-hyeop (Serendipity’s Embrace) in the newly dropped first poster. Broadcasting on weekends following The Judge Returns, the mystery-romance is slated to premiere on February 20 next month. [MBC]
    2. On Netflix, we can expect a darker mystery with Shin Hye-sun (Dear Hyeri) playing the crime-thriller’s titular character in the upcoming The Art of Sarah. Giving us a glimpse of our heroine’s many duplicitous faces in the new bundle of stills, the series also stars a detective Lee Jun-hyuk (Mercy for None) and will be coming to our screens on February 13. [JTBC]

    1. It’s certainly going to be a moody February with Disney+ adding Bloody Flower to the pile of twisted tales, entangling serial killer and medical scientist Ryeoun (Weak Hero Class 2) with attorney Sung Dong-il (Pro Bono) and prosecutor Geum Sae-rok (Iron Family) in the character stills. The novel-adaptation will be unfolding on February 4 in two more weeks. [Newsen]
    2. Justice is on the agenda for ENA’s Honor as well, brewing up a stormy battle in the courtrooms for our lady lawyers: Lee Na-young (One Day Off), Jung Eun-chae (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim), and Lee Chung-ah (Hide). But despite the terrors ahead, the latest poster offers a glimmer of hope because no matter what happens our trio have each others’ backs. The Swedish series remake will be launching in the Monday-Tuesday slot on February 2. [MBC]
