Japanese Security Allegedly Dragging Fan Out Of Venue Triggers Divided Backlash

Recently, the SMTOWN live in Fukuoka concert was held in Japan over the weekend.

In particular, a video clip went viral, showing a fan being forcibly dragged out of the venue for filming.  While filming is strictly prohibited in Japan, many were divided on whether the security guard’s actions were appropriate.

#슴콘 pic.twitter.com/qvKiQqvlvd

What the f*ck. It’s not like they hit someone, and yet they are dragging them out like that?

So Japan is a country that brutally assaults and drags people out just for filming? The violence is so scary. Is it ok to go to a country like this and hold a performance?

I can’t be a fan with people saying that it’s their fault for filming. Not being able to film is just a rule, not some crime. Do you really think it’s right for them to treat them like a criminal for filming a bit at the concert and pink you down, assault you, smash your camera, and search your bag?

However, others felt that rules are rules and if they aren’t kept, then it’s only right for them to leave.

Japan is strict about portrait rights. If you film despite knowing the rules, then you should leave quietly if you get caught. If you don’t budge, a lot of people criticize you. It’s not like they grabbed them by the neck; they had no choice because he was a bigger guy.

    1. Obey the rules. 2. Stop when they tell you to stop. Shouldn’t it be fine if you abide by one of these two rules.
