Jinyoung remembers his Still Shining youth with Kim Min-joo
by tccolb
The beaming rays of love are Still Shining in JTBC’s newest teaser, guiding the lost Got7’s Jinyoung (Our Unwritten Seoul) on the meandering road back to the arms of Kim Min-joo (Undercover High School).
At the budding age of 19, Yeon Tae-seo (Jinyoung) moved with his family from Seoul to the countryside, where he first met Mo Eun-ah (Kim Min-joo). And the two consequently sparked a sweet, cotton candy romance across the four hazy seasons. But this is dramaland, after all. And this is when tragedy reared its ugly head for Tae-seo and wretchedly separated our still young high school sweethearts.
We then fast forward 10 years to our story’s present day, re-introducing us to Tae-seo who is now a subway train operator, while Eun-ah runs a traditional-style guest house. Fate works is magic, though, and our two leads find themselves crossing paths with each other once again. And although there are hesitations due to whatever happened in their past, we can see the glimmers of reconciliation that lies ahead in their near future, lighting the way for our disheartened pair to get another chance.
Complicating the love square, we can also expect to see Shin Jae-ha (The Practical Guide to Love) playing Eun-ah’s work sunbae, in addition to accountant Park Se-hyun (Honour) who had a secret crush on Tae-seo in high school.
The upcoming romance Still Shining tale is slated to premiere on March 6 next week. Broadcasting two episodes a week in JTBC’s Friday slot, the series has PD Kim Yoon-jin (Tell Me That You Love Me, Our Beloved Summer) at the helm with scripts penned by Lee Sook-yeon (A Piece of Your Mind).
