JTBC looks ahead at its 2026 drama lineup

Giving us a peek into the months ahead, JTBC has announced their upcoming drama lineup, curating a list of shows that dabbles in different genres and will continue to carry us through this year of 2026.
Title: We Are All Trying Here

Need to know: Stacking the cast with the likes of Gu Kyo-hwan (Parasyte – The Grey), Go Yoon-jung (Can This Love Be Translated), and Oh Jung-se (Tempest), in addition to Kang Mal-geum (Surely Tomorrow), and Park Hae-joon (Tempest), the introspective series follows the inner journey of our characters as they reckon with their own self-worth and find acceptance for who they already are.
Title: Suddenly Intern (previously, New Employee Chairman Kang)

Need to know: When an accident befalls chaebol chairman Sohn Hyun-joo (Your Honor), the fantasy-mystery and webnovel-adaptation mandates him a second chance at life – whether he wants it or not – and puts him in the body of the company’s intern Lee Jun-young (Pump Up the Healthy Love). And this of course spells shenanigans for the chairman’s family: Lee Joo-myung (My Youth), Jeon Hye-jin (Mother and Mom), and Jin Gu (Moon River).

Need to know: A crime-thriller conspiracy is brewing in our title’s building complex, forcing former gangster Ji Sung (Connection) to step up and become the neighborhood hero. This also means winning the election as the resident committee president to snuff out the corruption from within, working together with his fellow residents: Ha Yoon-kyung (Undercover Miss Hong), Park Byung-eun (Dear Hongrang), and Moon Sori (Oh My Ghost Clients).

Need to know: Set against backdrop of this story’s cooking competition show, it’s a battle in the kitchens between the renown chefs, Ahn Hyo-seop (A Time Called You) and Jang Ryul (Love Me). Breaking out the pots and ladles, the (fictional) reality show is also joined by restaurant manager Hong Hwa-yeon (The Price of Confession) as well as the show’s main PD Jung Yoo-jin (DNA Lover).

Need to know: In a remake of the 2019 BBC series by the same title, the mystery-romance pairs Kim Hee-ae (The Whirlwind) with Noh Sang-hyun (Genie Make a Wish) in a May-December relationship troubled by doubt and distrust. Further complicating the character dynamics, the main cast reportedly includes Kim Ji-eun (Check In Hanyang) and Shin Jae-ha (Still Shining) playing Kim’s daughter and son, respectively.

Need to know: The year is 1258 in this Goryeo-era sageuk, dropping us into the thick of a 30-year long war against the Mongol Empire. The action-melo stars Ahn Bo-hyun (Spring Fever) and Lee Sung-min (Nine Puzzles), alongside Soo-hyun (Gyeongseong Creature 2), Ha Yoon-kyung (Undercover Miss Hong), and Yoon Kyun-sang (Law and the City) among other talents.
