- Suspicions grow all around on KBS in the latest character posters and extended teaser for The Husband, strewing discord between our four leads: Namgoong Min (Our Movie), Lee Seol (Our Movie), Kim Dae-myung (The Art of Negotiation), and Lee Sang-hee (The Price of Confession). The crime-suspense begins its tale this week on July 4, with PD Kim Jung-hyun (Hyper Knife) at the helm and Jung Jae-ha writing. [The Fact (1), (2)]
- The poster bonanza continues with KBS’s Love on the Menu as well, troubling Ha Suk-jin (Siren’s Kiss) and Hani, a.k.a. Ahn Hee-yeon, (Call It Love) with regrets and lingering feelings from their dating past. But perhaps there will still be a chance for the two to get their happily-ever-after when the weekender premieres on July 25 next month. PD Hong Seok-gu (Queen’s House, Beauty and Mr. Romantic) is directing with writing penned by Lee Kyung-hee (Chocolate). [Osen]
- On SBS, we look ahead to 2027 with an early special teaser, peeking into Nightmare. Headlined by a justice-seeking police detective Kim Nam-gil (Mad Concrete Dreams) alongside AI developer Lee Yumi (As You Stood By, the investigative sci-fi and vigilante crime series will also feature Shin Se-kyung (Captivating the King) in a special guest appearance. Production is being led by PD Lee Dan (Taxi Driver 2, Our Beloved Summer) and writer Kim Kyu-won (Alice). [SBS]
- Netflix came out with character posters as well, showcasing our spirit-catcher hero Nam Joo-hyuk (Vigilante), next to court lady Roh Yoon-seo (The Frog) as well as Joseon’s king Jo Seung-woo (Divorce Attorney Shin) at The East Palace. The supernatural hunt takes off on Friday, July 17, unfolding its sageuk-mystery over a runtime of 8 episodes. Directed by PD Choi Jung-kyu (Soundtrack #2, The Devil Judge), scripts were co-written by the Bulgasal: Immortal Souls writers, Kwon Sora and Seo Jae-won. [Sports Donga]
- Gong Hyo-jin (When the Stars Gossip) is also preparing to slice at our screens next month, becoming MBC’s A Bona Fide Killer in the thriller’s first poster. Also starring Jung Joon-won (Resident Playbook), Lee Sang-yi (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier), and Sung Dong-il (We Are All Trying Here), the webtoon-adaptation is slated to premiere on July 31. Broadcasting on weekends, the series has PD Yoon Jong-ho (Lovely Runner) and writer Kim Eun-hee (Ghost Doctor) leading the team. [MBC]
