SANTOS BRAVOS debuted in October 2025 as HYBE’s first boy band under its Latin American branch, formed through a survival program that drew trainees from across Latin America, the United States and Europe. They recently performed on Music Core, marking their Korean debut.
The response has been rather lukewarm, leading an international fan to call K-Pop fans “racist” because they were not well-received.

Korean fans immediately clapped back, claiming it was not racism, but simply a problem of the boys not being appealing.

It’s not racism, but we’re just lookist. These aren’t the type of Western faces that are popular in Korea.

International fans went on to argue that it wasn’t so much about Korean response being lukewarm, but more of American fans being unwelcoming due to their race.

Despite the mixed responses that they received on the music show, Santos Bravos has made their mark as the first Latin group to perform on Korean music shows.
