    K-Pop Group’s Long-Awaited First Win Leaves Them Sobbing

    K-Pop girl group Say My Name have left many emotional with their first-ever music show win.

    Say My Name won with their recent comeback, “UFO (ATTENT!ON),” on the January 10th episode of KBS‘s Music Bank. The group were nominated against Hwasa‘s “Good Goodbye,” scoring 11,912 points to reach this massive achievement.

    The group debuted in October 2024 under iNKODE, Kim Jaejoong’s agency, and had previously been close to securing their first win.

    “On their (SAYMYNAME) first release, they also got 3rd place on music show. And on their second release, ShaLala, they got 2nd place. The achievements are nice”

    And now Jaejoong can proudly say that the girls have gotten their 1st place!🥹

    Before their acceptance speech, the group were already very emotional, with leader Hitomi choking up as she tried to begin. After introducing themselves, the group thanked fans and their agency for helping them achieve this goal a year and four months after their debut.

    Music Bank is also a public broadcast and considered “harder” to win, making this moment even more significant.

    During their encore, the group’s emotions continued to pour out as they took in their first win.
