He didn’t even bother to hide his face.

A fifth-generation boy group member has gotten caught up in a dating rumor after allegedly being seen with a woman.
The idol in question is Taeyang, a member of NEWBEAT.
Taeyang
Recently, an anonymous account posted pictures of Taeyang allegedly hanging around with a woman in public. The OP (original poster) claimed that they were roaming around like a “newlywed couple” at the Pangyo Hyundai Department Store and posted photos of them walking around hand-in-hand.
#뉴비트 #NEWBEAT #김태양 pic.twitter.com/P5k5O3kX0t

The account also posted photos of the couple being affectionate in public, claiming that the idol didn’t even bother wearing a mask or a hat to hide his identity while being out on the date.
마스크도 모자도 없이 너무 당당하게 여자랑 꼭 붙어서 백화점 활보하길래 러브버그인 줄 알았다 태양아^^ pic.twitter.com/huHYxhjnHw

The photos have quickly captured the internet’s attention, but not for the obvious reasons. While some ridiculed the fans who were upset about Taeyang’s possible dating life, most netizens were left thoroughly confused about which Taeyang the OP was referring to, leading to hilarious misunderstandings.
He seems happy, he is in his free and private time, are we supposed to be mad at this? 😭 I don’t get it https://t.co/zICCZWQaCD

I thought this was SF9’s Taeyang, but it turned out to be the Taeyang of a different flop idol group. Disband.

The hilarity and the confusion aside, many netizens have also expressed concern about the invasion of privacy and the sense of ownership that certain fans have over the idol and his personal life.
