KARD member Jeon Ji-woo is officially stepping into the spotlight on her own.
Nearly nine years after her debut, she’s releasing her first solo EP, (EX)IST, today (the 11th) at 6 PM across major streaming platforms.
The project’s title track, “Home Sweet Home,” blends R&B sensibilities with alternative pop, creating an atmospheric sound anchored by Jeon Ji-woo’s unmistakable vocals. The rhythmic, pulsing bridge adds intensity, drawing listeners into a world where desire and tension simmer late into the night—urging them to confront instincts they often keep hidden.
The music video deepens the narrative, contrasting a “self of temptation” against a “self of liberation.” Through a striking interplay of light and shadow, the two personas clash, ultimately revealing the unfiltered essence of Jeon Ji-woo.
Alongside the title track, “(EX)IST” presents five songs across varied genres:
“Mutual” — exploring the thrill found in honesty,
“Dang Dong (feat. BM of KARD)” — capturing the electrifying pull from the moment two people lock eyes,
“Lily” — expressing the desire to remain unforgettable to someone, with Jeon Ji-woo herself penning the lyrics,
“Home Sweet Home (Inst.)” — the instrumental version of the title track.
KARD’s BM also contributed as a lyricist for “Mutual” and “Dang Dong,” adding depth and polish to the EP.
Ultimately, (EX)IST distills Jeon Ji-woo’s years of experiences—from past struggles to present evolution—into a cohesive, emotionally rich body of work. The EP is available starting today (the 11th) at 6 PM on all major music services.
