KATSEYE‘s recent live performance at the Head In The Clouds festival has become the center of a heated controversy.

On August 8, KST, the girl group headlined the music festival, delivering a major 60-minute performance as a quartet, since members Sophia and Manon are currently on a hiatus.

During their time on stage, the members made sure to give Sophia a shoutout. Lara took the initiative and asked the audience to send Sophia all their love.

This moment already irked some fans who felt that the omission of Manon, who was also on a hiatus, from this shoutout was intentionally “shady.”

However, what really rocked the boat was the members’ reactions to Manon’s name being mentioned mid-set. While Daniela had to step offstage for a brief moment, Lara once again took the lead and encouraged the crowd to say, “I love you, Sophia.” The audience members, however, followed it up with loud chants of Manon’s name. The members looked visibly awkward, and Lara reacted with a flustered, “Well..” None of the members made any further acknowledgments.
