Kim Go-eun awakens Yumi’s Cells 3 for Kim Jae-won

It’s go time for TVING’s Yumi’s Cells 3, putting promos into full swing with the new season’s first video teaser. Our author heroine Kim Go-eun (The Price of Confession) is back of course in full force and the man tugging at her heartstrings this time is her new editor, Kim Jae-won (The Art of Sarah).
Opening with a quick recap, it’s a painful reminder for those who rode the Ahn Bo-hyun (Spring Fever) and/or Got7’s Jinyoung (Still Shining) ships from previous seasons, that have since sailed on to better seas. And our Yumi (Kim Go-eun) has taken a much-needed break from romance, letting her cells hibernate and enjoying the quiet peace.
But just when Yumi’s life was starting to feel a little too quiet, fate brings Shin Soon-rok (Kim Jae-won) right to her doorstep. It has been a minute, though, since Yumi last dated and she’s feeling unsure about what to do or where to start. Still, it’s certainly time to flick on those lights, sound the drums, and awaken Yumi’s cells. And let’s get ready to swoon.
With Jeon Suk-ho (Phantom Lawyer), Miram (Confidence Queen), and Lee Yubi (7 Escape – Resurrection) also reprising their roles, the cast lineup newly welcomes Daniel Choi (Sorry Not Sorry) and Jo Hye-jung (Our Blues) as well.
Coming to our screens on April 13, TVING’s Yumi’s Cells 3 will also be airing in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday slot, following Siren’s Kiss. On the production side, the office rom-com has the series’ PD Lee Sang-yub (My Youth, A Piece of Your Mind) remaining at the helm and working again with the previous seasons’ writers: Song Jae-jung (Memories of the Alhambra, W-Two Worlds) and Kim Kyung-ra.
