Kim Go-eun is through with Kim Jae-won in Yumi’s Cells 3

The third and final installment of TVING’s romantic comedy Yumi’s Cells 3 airs in a couple of days, and to prepare fans for the upcoming meeting between Kim Go-eun’s (The Price of Confession) and Kim Jae-won (The Art of Sarah), a new teaser of the first episode has been released.
Leading lady Kim Yumi (Kim Go-eun) is now a successful author with Writer Cell as her prime — replacing Love Cell — but her village of cells are not quite pleased with the change in leadership. As Yumi goes skydiving to gather inspiration for her writing, Emotional Cell asks if all this is really necessary for the job.
A change in prime cell is not the only twist this season since Yumi gets assigned a new PD. Enter the stoic and introverted Shin Soon-rok (Kim Jae-won). While Yumi enthusiastically greets him and calls their meeting fate, Soon-rok hardly reacts. Immediately, alarm bells ring. Then to make matters worse, they end up riding the same bus one evening, and Soon-rok puts in earphones. A clear faux pas according to Manners Cell!
Yumi’s cells agree that Soon-rok isn’t just rude but a jerk, and as if her opinion of him was not already low enough, he then insults her dog. Now Emotional Cell is screaming to the heavens that Soon-rok has slighted all Maltese owners. That firmly puts him in the “dislike” category, and Yumi’s cells even doodle over his picture to make their point clear. With all these initial missteps, how will our bespectacled reindeer win over Yumi’s heart?
With the original team behind seasons one and two returning, PD Lee Sang-yub (My Youth) takes the helm alongside writers Song Jae-jung (Memories of the Alhambra) and Kim Kyung-ra (Yumi’s Cells 2). Yumi’s Cells 3 is slated for eight episodes and premieres April 13 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
