YouTuber Kim Se Ui, head of Garosero Institute, who is facing defamation charges, has suffered another loss in the case related to actor Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron.
On the 2nd, the 8-1 Criminal Appeal Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judges Cha Seung Hwan, Choi Hae Il, Choi Jin Sook) dismissed Kim Se Ui’s request for a bail review.
On the day, Kim Se Ui appeared in court with both hands tied behind his back with restraints, accompanied by police officers. It was reported that upon seeing the gathered reporters in the courthouse corridor, he gave a faint smile. Previously, the court had issued an arrest warrant for Kim.
Kim is accused of spreading false information via YouTube and other platforms, claiming that the cause of Kim Sae Ron’s death was pressure from Kim Soo Hyun’s side over debt repayment. He is also charged with manipulating Kim Sae Ron’s voice using AI technology.
