Singer and YouTuber A, accused of abusing and causing the death of his biological daughter, did not state his position at the first trial.
According to the legal community, on the 15th, the 1st Criminal Division of the Jinju Branch of Changwon District Court held the first hearing for A, who is charged with killing his biological daughter.
A is accused of hitting his daughter B, a university student on leave, pouring hot water on her, causing severe injuries such as scalp lacerations and burns, and leaving her in a vehicle for more than two days despite her complaints of pain, which resulted in her death.
The court announced that A had appointed both a public defender and a private attorney to proceed with the trial. Previously, A’s private attorneys were replaced several times, causing delays in appointment and resulting in two trial postponements.
When asked during the trial whether he acknowledged the charges, A said, “I am not fully aware of the details of the charges,” and did not express a position.
Meanwhile, A had worked as an announcer, singer, YouTube channel operator, and various promotional ambassador roles in the Jinju area but was dismissed from his ambassador position due to this incident. It is reported that the day before the incident, he participated in a fire drill event hosted by the Namhae Fire Station with his daughter, adding to the shock.
