A well-known rapper appearing on Mnet‘s Show Me The Money 12 has been brought to trial on charges of evading military service by feigning a mental illness.

According to MBN on the 29th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office indicted rapper A on the 28th for violating the Military Service Act.

Reports state that A received a grade 2 physical examination rating during his initial military service examination in 2016. However, he is accused of pretending to have a mental illness by undergoing psychiatric treatment from January to June 2022 with the intention of avoiding active duty enlistment.

Subsequently, A was reclassified as grade 4 due to depressive disorder and assigned as a social service agent, but suspicions of military evasion were uncovered by the Military Manpower Administration’s Special Judicial Police.
