Comedian Nam Chang Hee’s wife has been revealed to be actress Yoon Young Kyung, well known as the “Han River IU.”
On the 23rd, Nam Chang Hee’s agency TN Entertainment told OSEN, “Nam Chang Hee’s wife is indeed the former actress Yoon Young Kyung,” adding, “She is currently working as an office worker.”
Earlier that day, a media outlet caught attention by reporting that Nam Chang Hee’s wife is Yoon Young Kyung, an actress who gained attention on MBC’s Infinite Challenge with the nickname “Han River IU.” Originally, it was known that Nam Chang Hee’s wife was a non-celebrity nine years younger than him.
Yoon Young Kyung first gained recognition in 2013 when she won a prize at the 83rd National Chunhyang Selection Contest, and began her acting career in 2014 with the film Ode to My Father. She went on to appear in dramas and variety shows, continuing her work in the industry.
Notably, Yoon Young Kyung appeared on the MBC “Infinite Challenge – Hong Chul’s Wedding” special in 2014, where she earned the nickname “Han River IU” due to her resemblance to the singer IU. Still remembered by the public as the “Han River IU,” she currently works as a public officer in the Public Relations Department at Dongdaemun District Office and is active on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Nam Chang Hee and Yoon Young Kyung held a wedding ceremony on the 22nd at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
