Born in 1972, Shim Eun Ha debuted in 1993 as part of MBC‘s 22nd open talent recruitment class. She first gained public attention for her role in the mega-hit K-Drama, The Last Match, and later starred in popular series such as M, Trap of Youth, and White Nights 3.98, establishing herself as one of the defining actresses of the 1990s.
However, she left the entertainment industry after the 2000 K-Movie, Interview. Then, in 2001, news broke that she was set to marry businessman Jung Ho Young, but the engagement was suddenly called off just two days before the wedding, sparking a major scandal. The incident reportedly caused her significant emotional distress, and Shim Eun Ha ultimately announced her retirement from the entertainment industry, saying she wanted to live a normal life.
