Lee Dong-wook protects Kim Hye-joon in A Shop for Killers 2

The fight returns in Disney+’s action thriller A Shop for Killers Season 2 starring back-from-the-grave uncle Lee Dong-wook (The Nice Guy) and his newly-minted-killer niece Kim Hye-joon (Cashero). With the two shopkeepers joining forces, they face off against an even stronger set of international foes this time around.
The newest trailer opens with a narration from Jung Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook) explaining why he created the shopping mall: “I couldn’t lose you, too.” His Achilles’ heel is none other than his niece Jung Ji-ahn (Kim Hye-joon), but after surviving the first season, Ji-ahn is ready to stand on her own. After all, he did teach her to take responsibility for her choices.
As Babylon — the global mercenary group out for Jin-man’s head — gathers its forces, they finally make their move. Stepping onto Korea soil to complete their new mission are mercenaries Jung Yoon-ha (The Trunk), Hyunri (Can This Love Be Translated?), and Masaki Okada (Tagusari Brothers) as well as season 1 baddie Jo Han-sun (A Shop for Killers).
Though Jin-man threatens to reveal Babylon to the world if anyone so much as touches a hair on his niece’s head or even loiters around her vicinity, the attacks keep coming. As Ji-ahn gets caught in explosions and near-death accidents, she takes up the mantle of shopkeeper and leads her season 1 team of Geum Hae-na (A Shop for Killers), Kim Min (Reverse), and Lee Tae-young (Heroes Next Door) against Babylon.
With war between the two factions now imminent, Jin-man vows to act as his niece’s shield while Ji-ahn puts her life on the line to protect the shopping mall. Teasing a plethora of fights including bazookas, knives, and even killer robots, the counterattack has begun, and Ji-ahn is ready to prove herself in this world of killers.
Returning to the new season is PD Lee Kwon (A Shop for Killers, Rescue Me 2) who is also in charge of scripts alongside writer Ji Ho-jin (Newtopia). Disney+’s A Shop for Killers Season 2 is slated for 8 episodes and premieres July 22.
