It’s a life-long brawl between mother and daughter that takes center stage in the new movie called Leftover Affection (roughly translated), forging bonds through fire for Yeom Jung-ah (Love Take Two) and Park Eun-bin (Spooky in Love) in this heart-tugging tale about family.
The tie between parent and child is something both ordinary and special all the same. However, it can also be a challenge for both parties involved and our Kang Hyun-sook (Yeom Jung-ah) had not just one but three kids to raise. And she had to weather the countless hardships all on her own as a single mom.
Presumably, though, Hyun-sook has an amicable relationship with child one and two, as we haven’t yet been told much about them. But with her youngest, Nam Eun-jung (Park Eun-bin), there has always been one trouble or another, snowballing years of resentment on both sides as they continue to bicker and butt heads. And our story will be following their mother-daughter growth as they unravel the tangle of misunderstandings.
Distributed by Studio Genie (a sister company of ENA under the KT corporation), the family movie is currently in pre-production now that the main cast has been finalized and preparations are underway to soon start filming, likely this month. The team is being led by rookie Kim Do-hoon making his movie director debut, who has a background in directing commercial advertisements and is a two-time winner for his storytelling style.
Incidentally, this is a milestone year for Yeom Jung-ah and Park Eun-bin in each of their acting careers as well, with Yeom celebrating her 35th year and Park already in her 30th, due to her early start as a young child actor.
