After twenty-four years together, a legendary group has removed one of their original members.
the GazettE is a Japanese visual kei rock band that debuted in 2002. Up until recently, the GazettE had four male members: vocalist Ruki, guitarists Uruha, drummer Kai, and guitarist Aoi. the Gazette’s members revealed that they “made the decision to remove guitarist Aoi” due to Aoi’s behavior causing serious problems for the group and their fans. The members stated that Aoi had stepped away from the GazettE activities, which interfered with the group’s scheduling and “undermined trust within the band.” Aoi also cut off communication with his members and refused to participate in live performances. the GazettE also mentioned that “important matters” related to their late member, Reita, had been handled in “deeply inappropriate” ways.
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the GazettE’s fandom, with some fans pointed out how “candid” and “brutally honest” the GazettE’s statement is.
