Mad Concrete Dreams are haunting Ha Jung-woo and Im Soo-jung

The deeds are signed and the Mad Concrete Dreams of Ha Jung-woo (Narco-Saints) have become fulfilled. But as we see in tvN’s first poster and teaser, as well as the character stills, the reality of becoming a building owner is not as glamorous as it once seemed.
The situation would of course be different for the already rich, who don’t have to struggle with mortgages and can hire teams of people to manage the facilities. But our hero Ki Su-jong (Ha Jung-woo) comes from a more ordinary background and purchasing this one building has eaten up all his savings while also adding heaps of debt. And without anyone to help him, Su-jong’s days are mostly spent running around, bogged down by fielding calls from tenants while laboring through the three-storey property’s maintenance and repairs.
Staggering under the weight of loans and labor, the trailer suggests that Su-jong’s wife Im Soo-jung (Low Life) is anxious to sell. Conveniently, our main pair’s close friend Kim Joon-han (Newtopia) is offering to buy. And it certainly helps that Kim’s wife Krystal (Way Back Love) has the money to spare.
We also have to factor in the ~mysterious~ financer Shim Eun-kyung (Way Back Love who proposes some kind of deal involving 3 billion won. However, Su-jong himself doesn’t want to give up his building and his desperation leads to a last-ditch attempt, pushing our stricken hero to take part in a fake kidnapping scheme.
Broadcasting on weekends following Undercover Miss Hong, tvN’s upcoming Mad Concrete Dreams will be unfolding on March 14. Production for the suspense, crime-thriller has filmmaker Im Pil-sung (Persona, Scarlet Innocence) directing and writing by novelist Oh Han-ki (Baguette Child Soldier).
