Recently, a fan accused Geonwoo of cheating them out of a raffle win to hand it to a fansite instead. The incident allegedly occurred at a fan signing event in Guangzhou, China, where a raffle was held to win a Polaroid photo with Geonwoo. The fan who was selected as the winner claimed that Geonwoo openly asked for the raffle number of a fansite master he was close with, in an attempt to favor them in the lucky draw. Upon noticing that his fellow member, Sanghyun, was holding a paper containing the fansite master’s number, Geonwoo simply snatched it away. As a result, the fansite master was announced as the winner.

The original winner was so enraged by this blatant manipulation that they uploaded the details about the incident on online communities and even provided video footage of the incident, announcing their decision to leave the fandom.

This incident has sparked massive criticism for the idol, with many calling for his dismissal from ALPHA DRIVE ONE yet again.
