Roh Yoon-seo, Lee Chae-min
- Roh Yoon-seo (The Frog) and Lee Chae-min (Cashero) have reportedly been cast in a new timeslip romance called Why I Decided to Die (roughly translated), marking a potentially cute reunion after Crash Course in Romance. Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, production is in the early stages with PD Kim Hee-won (Tempest, Little Women) attached to direct and scripts by Kim Sol-ji (Love Is for Suckers, Pegasus Market). - Promos have kicked off on Disney+ with the first poster for Gold Land, which stars an ensemble of talents: Park Bo-young (Our Unwritten Seoul) and Kim Sung-chul (Boyfriend on Demand), as well as Lee Hyun-wook (Shark – The Storm), Kim Hee-won (Han River Police), Moon Jung-hee (The Practical Guide to Love), and Lee Kwang-soo (The Manipulated). Slated to launch on April 29, the crime-thriller has PD Kim Sung-hoon (A History of Losers, Chief Detective 1958) directing and writing by Hwang Jo-yoon (Rich Man). [Osen]
- Lee Jong-won (You and Everything Else) is said to have been added to Love Affair, getting entangled with Lee Dong-wook (The Nice Guy), Jeon So-ni (As You Stood By), and Jung Yumi (Love Your Enemy) in our melodrama’s torrid romance. Helmed by PD Mo Wan-il (The Frog, A Couple’s World) and penned by Ha Soo-jin (The Matchmakers), the series will likely be releasing on Netflix. [iZE]
- Casting news continues for ENA’s Your Dream (roughly translated) as well, with Lee Sang-yub (My Lovely Boxer) and Baek Sung-chul (Brewing Love) now confirmed to be acting alongside Hwang In-yub (Dear X) and Hyeri (Friendly Rivalry). The rom-com is expected to broadcast later this year, with PD Yoo Sun-dong (Unmasked) and writer Jung Eun-bi (Doom at Your Service, Mr. Sunshine) leading the team. [Newsen, Osen]
- Disney+ is also gearing up for The Koreans to release in 2027, lining up Lee Byung-heon (Squid Game 3), Han Ji-min (The Practical Guide to Love), and Lee Hee-joon (Nine Puzzles) in the first script reading stills. Adapted from the US series The Americans, the the period remake will be set in the not too distant 1990s South Korea.
