Jung Hae-in, Shin Se-kyung
- Preparations are underway for a new rom-com called Love Virus (transliterated title), which is said to have Jung Hae-in (Love Next Door) and Shin Se-kyung (Captivating the King) reviewing offers to co-star in the drama. Production is currently in the early stages, with PD Kim Seok-yoon (Heavenly Ever After, My Liberation Notes) attached to direct. [Xports News]
- Shin Jae-ha (Still Shining) is lining up his next project as well, reportedly joining JTBC’s Gold Digger to become son to Kim Hee-ae (The Whirlwind) and brother to Kim Ji-eun (Check In Hanyang). Also headlined by Noh Sang-hyun (Genie Make a Wish), the romance-thriller is a remake of the 2019 BBC series by the same title and has PD Im Hyun-wook (Surely Tomorrow, King the Land) directing with writing by Sun Young (Forecasting Love and Weather). - New character posters have come out for Coupang Play’s upcoming Absolute Value of Romance, where our budding web-novelist Kim Hyang-gi (Cashero) finds inspiration from her crush-worthy school teachers: Cha Hak-yeon (Oh My Ghost Clients), N.Flying’s Kim Jae-hyun (Half-Fifty), Sohn Jung-hyuk (a.k.a. Demian) (Love.exe), and Kim Dong-kyu (Dating Class). The coming-of-age, youth story will be bringing the cute on April 17. [Sports Donga]
- Netflix is gearing up for Bloodhounds 2 with another bundle of stills, forecasting Rain (Red Swan) to put a damper on our underdog boxers Woo Do-hwan (Made in Korea) and Lee Sang-yi (Good Boy) in the new second season. Coming to our screens this week on Friday, April 3, the crime-action and webtoon-adaptation has filmmaker Kim Joo-hwan (Office Black Belt) remaining at the helm, handling both directing and scripts. - SBS has character stills for us as well, this time showcasing our second lead Kim Bum (Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938) in Sold Out on You. Alongside Ahn Hyo-seop (A Time Called You), Chae Won-bin (Who Is She), and Go Du-shim (Check In Hanyang), among others, the rom-com is slated to premiere on April 22 in just a few more weeks. Production is being led by PD Ahn Jong-yeon (Seoul Busters) and writer Jin Seung-hee. [SBS]
