Recently, Mark Lee made a post on Instagram and Weverse that stirred up much controversy online.
While the photos themselves were fine, his song choice garnered much attention.
He used IU’s “Bye, Summer,” which is a well-known fan song. He also posted a fan-made video that used this song in a Weverse post.
However, this garnered a negative response from IU fans.

I let it go when they used part of IU’s lyrics for his birthday hashtag, but I cannot understand why they are using IU’s fan song for their own narrative and crying over it.

Why are you using someone else’s fan song to create your own narrative?

The comments left under the song on Melon are so ridiculous. Just f*ck off. Your Mark has gone off to be with Jesus.
